Full TCB Closure Weekend of July 27

WHERE: On Topanga Canyon Blvd (Hwy 27) from Grandview Drive to PCH (Hwy 1) in BOTH DIRECTIONS (northbound and southbound). *NOTE: The rest of Topanga will remain open with full access to the valley.

WHEN: Friday, July 27 at 10:00 pm through Monday, July 30 at 5:00 am (TCB will be open for Monday morning travel and access to the coast).

Caltrans has been planning and coordinating with State Parks, the Resource Conservation District, Topanga Chamber and TASC to do emergency repair work on Topanga Canyon Blvd. The work will happen on the southbound shoulder at mile marker 1.0 and mile marker 1.2. This is across from the K-Rail and fencing that was put up during the last mudslide.

All businesses, restaurants and event locations will be open throughout the road closure. Please continue to patronize Topanga Canyon businesses as usual.

Caltrans recognizes any closure can be an inconvenience and its team will work quickly to reopen the boulevard. It is important to note that this closure may be rescheduled or extended due to adverse weather or other factors. Updates can be found on's Community Calendar and Facebook page.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please forward this announcement to your neighbors, employees, and organization members.

Signs will be posted at all entrances to the canyon. This is not an event for which your Topanga Resident Access Cards will grant you passage through the construction zone. Access Cards are for entry into the canyon during and after fires and other major disasters--and only when law enforcement deems it safe to do so. To get your Access Card, click here.
