Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains The Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCD) promotes and provides conservation education, conducts research, and advises and assists other public agencies and private citizens in the areas of land-use planning, soil and water conservation, wildlife habitat enhancement and restoration, control of exotic plant species, and watershed restoration.

Topanga Animal Rescue Topanga Animal Rescue provides local placement services for lost or abandoned domestic animals, and provides immediate medical field triage and treatment for domestic or wild animals. TAR offers spay and neuter clinics, as well as community education programs.

Topanga Association for a Scenic Community (TASC) The Topanga Association for a Scenic Community (TASC) is an organization of local residents that work with the County to encourage use of population densities and development principles that will make an enlightened and intelligent planned expansion. TASC promotes designation of trails and the preservation of parks and nature study areas in Topanga.

Topanga Canyon Docents The Topanga Canyon Docents was started in 1974 by a group of friends and activists who wanted to share their love of nature and the Santa Monica Mountains. They volunteer time for public nature walks and give programs for school groups. On Sundays from Jan. to June, docents provide visitor information and guided public walks that meet at 10:00 am, at the Trippet Ranch parking lot. |
