Osby ceremoniously hung his turnout coat and helmet on the Wall of Honor to symbolize the successful culmination of his 38-year firefighting career with the Los Angeles County Fire Department; 11 of those years spent as the Department's first African American Fire Chief.

Not only is Topanga designated a Severe High Fire Risk area, it is also one of the most difficult areas in the state to defend in a wildfire. Fireworks can start brush fires, and are prohibited in unincorporated LA County. DO NOT set them off in our mountains!
Topanga is not under mandatory water restrictions, but we should still do our part
