Surrounded by the Osby and Fire Department families, Fire Chief Daryl L. Osby ceremoniously hung his turnout coat and helmet on the Wall of Honor to symbolize the successful culmination of his 38-year firefighting career with the Los Angeles County Fire Department; 11 of those years spent as the Department's first African American Fire Chief.
