Grocery Boxes

Free Grocery Boxes Available for Topangans in Need on Oct. 27!
Posted: October 18, 2020, 8:30 p.m.

The Topanga community is receiving grocery boxes of non-perishable food items on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. These boxes are available for any community members in need at this time due to COVID-19. The grocery boxes have been made possible by County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl’s office, via the LA Regional Food Bank.

Each box will have things like canned beans and corn, rice or pasta, soups, and oatmeal or cereal. However, there is no way to know what exactly will be in them. If desired, you may have more than 1 box for yourself or others you know who would benefit.

The no-contact drive-thru pick up will be Tuesday, October 27th, between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., in the Pine Tree Circle parking lot next to the former Topanga Seed & Feed (kitty-corner from Topanga Homegrown). Boxes are first-come, first-serve. If there are more available, another pick-up date will be scheduled in November.

To receive a box, please enter the Pine Tree Circle parking lot by Canyon Bistro, and pull up to the staging area. Open your trunk, and volunteers will put your box(es) in the trunk. Once you receive your box(es), exit the Pine Tree parking lot at the stoplight, near Hidden Treasures. This will help with the flow of traffic. We truly appreciate your consideration in this matter.

**Please wear your mask at the time of pick up, as well, to ensure everyone’s safety.**

Community members organizing this free food program want all Topanga families to be aware of the opportunity. Feel free to share this information with others. If you have questions about this program or would like to contact the program volunteers, please call or text 323-836-4001 or 310-995-1895.
