Topanga Library to Open as a Cooling Center Aug. 16-18

Exposure to extreme heat can cause a variety of health problems, including heat stroke and even death. As SoCal temperatures climb into the 100s this weekend, the Topanga Library will open temprarily as an emergency cooling center to provide relief and protection from the heat.
The Topanga Library will be open for residents needing to cool off from Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16, between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Note: If you have COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, or difficulty breathing), entry will not be allowed.
All visitors and staff will be required to wear face coverings at all times and practice physical distancing. Hand sanitizer will be placed at the entrance and throughout the cooling center.
