Topangans, Get Out and Vote!

votercenterinfoYour Voice Counts! Here's How to Vote in LA County

Any registered voter in Los Angeles County can cast their vote between now and November 8, Election Day 2022.

If you'd like to vote in person, you can take your mail-in ballot (which you should have received in the mail, as long as you are registered and your address is up to date) to the Topanga Community Center (TCC) or another Los Angeles County in-person voting center, and tell the poll workers that you'd like to vote in person.  Check the TCC's available dates below.

Note: Topanga voters will be deciding two critically important local races this election: who will be our LA County 3rd District Supervisor (overseeing Topanga and other unincorporated communities in our area) and LA County Sheriff.

State and national legislative positions are also on the ballot. Because of redistricting, Topanga will soon switch from State Assembly District 50 (Richard Bloom) to District 42, from State Senate District 27 (Henry Stern) to District 24, and from Congressional District 33 (Ted Lieu) to District 32. All of the seats for our new districts are up for election this year, along with a US Senate seat, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Sec. of State, Attorney General, and more.

If you still need to research candidates and measures, there are several websites that offer in-depth information, including Ballotpedia, VoteSmart, and Vote411, and we recommend visiting candidates' campaign websites. It may also be helpful to check local media outlets' endorsements.

INTERACTIVE SAMPLE BALLOTS

Take advantage of a helpful new Interactive Sample Ballot system launched in 2020. Other than looking at your paper ballot, it's one of the easiest ways to see exactly what races and measures you'll be voting on. You can even mark down and save your choices to save time with in-person voting. The interactive system will generate a special QR code — a "poll pass" — that you can print or download to your phone. Scan the code once you're at the polls to preload your selections into the electronic voting device.  Learn more and access the Interactive Sample Ballot system here.
