Woolsey Fire Presentation of Findings

Woolsey Fire 1080x630

October 26 - Don't Miss the Woolsey Fire Task Force's Presentation of Draft Findings

Access a PDF of the draft findings: HERE.

A message from LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl's Office:

"Neighbor -

I am writing to invite you to join me and the members of the Woolsey Fire Task Force on Saturday, October 26 for a presentation of the draft findings from LA County’s review of the Woolsey Fire.

Last December, we formed the Task Force and directed them to review the causes and origins of the fire, the deployment of firefighting resources, the distribution and adequacy of firefighting resources, including water, evacuation notification and procedures, strategic communications during the fire and its aftermath, and community repopulation notification and procedures, as well as to outline steps we must take in order to better ensure community safety in light of heightened fire risk.

The County hired the renowned firm Citygate Associates which has deep expertise in wildfire analysis to undertake this work. They conducted more than 100 interviews and reviewed thousands of documents, and their draft conclusions will be shared on October 26."

You are invited to provide comment at the October 26 meeting, as well as online between October 26 and November 8. (Public comment will also be accepted at a concluding meeting on November 17.)

"Our first meeting on October 26 will be held from 10 am - 2 pm at Agoura Hills Performing Arts and Education Center (located on the campus of Agoura High School), 28545 West Driver Ave., Agoura Hills, CA 91301.

Our second and concluding meeting will be held on November 17 at Agoura Hills Performing Arts and Education Center (located on the campus of Agoura High School), 28545 West Driver Ave., Agoura Hills, CA 91301.

I hope to see you at one and/or the other of these important public meetings.

- Supervisor Sheila Kuehl"
