The LA County Library is adapting to meet the needs of readers and learners as libraries remained closed and we shelter at home. Here are some ways kids and adults can access the vast collection of books, music, movies, classes, and more from home:
Virtual Storytime
Librarians across the county are offering kids virtual storytime magic through Facebook Live twice a day, most days of the week.
Digital Reading, Listening, and Watching
Download and stream movies, music, and books and audiobooks, as well as hundreds of free online classes through several easy-to-use library apps. All you need is your library card number and your library PIN. To learn more: click here.
Don't Have a Library Card? No problem!
The LA County Library is offering a 90-day temporary digital library card so you can access all the content that the library has to offer. Learn more: click here.
Spring and Summer Discovery Program
The library has created a fabulous Spring and Summer Discovery Program, where kids, teens, and even adults can log the books they read, write and read reviews, complete online activities, and earn points and prizes. Click here.
