LA County Dept. of Regional Planning to Present Draft Climate Action Plan
Article posted: March 6, 2020
The LA County Dept. of Regional Planning (DRP), in collaboration with the Chief Sustainability Office (CSO), is working to update the county's Climate Action Plan. A draft of the plan was released on March 5, and it will be presented to the Regional Planning Commission as a discussion item without action on Wed., March 11.
The draft lays out targets and strategies intended to guide us toward a bath to carbon neutrality by 2045.
County residents can tune in and watch the March 11 meeting live, or afterward.
Additionally, the DRP will be accepting public comments on the draft until April 6.
The DRP will also be holding a public workshop on Wed., March 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the East Los Angeles County Public Library.

After that, the DRP and CSO will revise the draft, finalize an environmental document, and then release a second public draft to be presented to the Regional Planning Commission for action, tentatively in July.
