Celebrate With Your Topanga Library!

Celebrate the 60th annual National Library Week from April 8-14. This year's theme is "Libraries Lead."

Started in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the nation every April. National Library Week aims to "celebrate the contributions" of libraries and librarians nationwide, and to promote the use of (and support) libraries.

This year, National Library Week will feature a special Storytime event at many of the county's branches, including Topanga.

On April 9, at 3:30 p.m., children and families are invited to enjoy a special reading of Misty Copeland's book, Firebird, followed by an art activity. Misty Copeland is a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, and is serving as this year's National Library Week Honorary Chair.

There are many other special and regularly scheduled events to enjoy this week, and every week at your Topanga Library. You can find these events on OneTopanga's Community Calendar
